Preevue Launches Ad-Supported Seat Preevue to Make Industry-Leading View-from-Seat Technology Accessible to More Venues
June 15th 2026 - LONDON -
Preevue announces the launch of a new ad-supported version of Seat Preevue, its industry-leading view-from-seat product, designed to make high quality seat visualisation more financially accessible to theatres and entertainment venues of all sizes.
Lichfield Garrick is the first venue to launch the new model, giving its audiences access to accurate, seat-specific imagery while creating a new premium advertising opportunity for brands seeking to reach highly engaged theatre audiences.
Seat Preevue enables customers to explore the view from individual seats before completing their purchase. Built using millimetre-accurate laser scan data, the platform provides a consistent and reliable representation of the auditorium, helping customers compare seating options and book with greater confidence.
The new ad-supported model allows further venues to introduce the technology, supported by carefully integrated advertising placements within the customer journey. Advertisers benefit from prominent, highly targeted exposure to audiences purchasing tickets for live entertainment.
Ryan Metcalfe, CEO of Preevue, said:
“We’re excited to launch this new ad-supported version of Seat Preevue and to make the platform financially viable for an even broader range of venues.
View-from-seat technology has become an increasingly important part of the modern ticket-buying journey. It gives customers greater transparency and ultimately more confidence in their booking, resulting in greater conversions for venues.
At the same time, this model creates a genuinely premium opportunity for advertisers by placing relevant brands in front of highly-engaged theatre audiences, without compromising the usefulness or quality of the Seat Preevue experience.
We’re delighted that Lichfield Garrick is the first venue to go live and look forward to introducing the model to many more theatres.”
Pete Stevens, Box Office Manager at Lichfield Garrick, said:
“We’re delighted to be the first venue to pilot this new version of Seat Preevue. At Lichfield Garrick, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the audience experience from the moment they begin their booking journey, and
I’m proud that we’re helping lead the way in making this technology available to more theatres.”
Tom Nolan, Head of Global Ecosystem at Spektrix adds:
"By working with partners such as Preevue, we help Spektrix users introduce specialist capabilities that create a cohesive experience for both teams and audiences.
View-from-seat technology can help audience members purchase with greater confidence, improving the customer experience and supporting ticket sales. Preevue's new ad-supported model makes that capability more accessible, giving organisations another way to enhance the purchase journey without financial barriers. We're delighted to see Lichfield Garrick lead the way as the first organisation to use the integration."
View-from-seat imagery improves customer service by answering one of the most common questions audiences have when booking: “What will I actually be able to see from this seat?” By providing that information directly within the booking journey, venues reduce uncertainty, set clearer expectations and help customers make more informed purchasing decisions.
The technology can also support stronger commercial performance by encouraging customers to explore different seats and price bands, clearly demonstrating the value of premium seating and reducing friction during the path to purchase.
Unlike solutions based on a limited number of representative photographs, Seat Preevue combines individual seat views with underlying millimetre-accurate laser scan data. This allows imagery to be generated consistently throughout an auditorium and updated to reflect different productions, staging configurations and scenic designs.
The ad-supported version is now available to venues in the UK and internationally.
